TORONTO – Thursday, January 8, 2026 — Peoples Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Liane Kim as Chief Internal Auditor, joining the organization’s executive leadership team. Liane will play a critical role in strengthening independent assurance, risk oversight, and governance frameworks supporting effective decision-making as the organization continues to scale its operations across Canada.

Liane brings extensive expertise in internal audit, governance, and risk management, having previously served as SVP, Chief Internal Auditor at Home Trust and Fairstone Bank. In her most recent role, she developed an AI?supported audit framework that improved risk detection, enhanced operational resilience, and modernized audit delivery. Her career also includes senior audit and risk leadership roles at Ontario Power Generation and DH Corporation (D+H), where she led large?scale improvements in oversight and enterprise risk programs.

As Chief Internal Auditor, Liane will oversee Peoples Group’s internal audit function, providing independent assurance that governance, risk management and control practices effectively support the organization’s long?term business strategy. Her leadership will support the organization’s commitment to transparency, robust controls, and responsible growth.
